I keep this place running!
\nI do the laundry,
\nI clean the toilets,
\nI grind the wheat,
\nI bake the bread,
\nI buy the birthday presents,
\nI clip the coupons,
\nI shop the sales,
\nI buy the groceries,
\nI buy the socks,
\nI wash the socks,
\nI look for the socks,
\nI mend the socks (ok, I don’t really mend the socks, but I do occasionally mend OTHER things),
\nI take kids places,
\nI pick kids up from places,
\nI organize the fun,
\nI carry out the fun,
\nI go to meetings of all sorts (PTA meetings, Relief Society Presidency Meetings, planning meetings),
\nI volunteer at the school (did you not SEE me in your classroom grading spelling workbooks?)
\nI volunteer more at the school, (skirts? Remember the skirts?)
\nI volunteer with the PTA,
\nI vacuum,
\nI dust,
\nI wash walls,
\nI unload the dishwasher when certain children forget to do it before they go to school,
\nI go visiting teaching,
\nI weed the flower beds,
\nI plant the flower beds,
\nI plant the garden,
\nI plant the garden AGAIN when my garden dies from a late spring snow,
\nI unclog toilets (OK, I may not be the best toilet unglogger in the house, but I do unclog my fair share)
\nI paint bedrooms,
\nI organize and reorganize,
\nI switch our phone plan to try to save us money,
\nI call the repairman,
\nI wait for the repairman,
\nI host playdates,
\nI get books from the library,
\nI try to find the books that go back to the library,
\nI pay the library fines,
\nI plan the vacations,
\nI try to win the vacations,
\nI make breakfasts, lunches, snacks and dinner,
\nI clean up from those breakfasts, lunches, snacks, and dinners,
\nI sew curtains for your bedrooms,
\nI sew curtains for other people’s bedrooms,
\nI help with homework,
\nI read with kids,
\nI help with the piano practicing,
\nI gently remind the kids to do the piano practicing,
\nI drive the kids to the piano lessons,
\nI drive the kids to sports and sports practices,
\nI schedule the dentist and doctor appointments, then drive kids to those, too.
\nSometimes I even exercise.<\/p>\n

I’m not perfect. Sometimes, I admit, I sit and watch tv. Usually I stand and watch tv while I do some of that other stuff.
