{"id":3888,"date":"2010-10-17T09:19:19","date_gmt":"2010-10-17T15:19:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/paige.ericksonfamily.com\/?p=3888"},"modified":"2010-10-17T09:19:19","modified_gmt":"2010-10-17T15:19:19","slug":"get-your-crafty-on","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/paige.ericksonfamily.com\/?p=3888","title":{"rendered":"Get your crafty on"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I came across a fun pattern for some Halloween decor, this &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.etsy.com\/listing\/39547644\/sock-skeleton-craft-kit\">sock skeleton craft kit<\/a>.&#8221;  <\/p>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/ny-image1.etsy.com\/il_430xN.119489273.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Then, even better, I found that Martha Stewart had a video and instructions <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marthastewart.com\/article\/sock-skeleton\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>So, I bought some nice clean socks (yes, I know, I could have recycled some of Ryan&#8217;s or Cole&#8217;s socks, but they have gray on them, and I needed white, and do I really want to make a holiday decor item out of <em>old<\/em> socks?) and went to town.  The instructions were easy and it was fun.  I realized that I was enjoying myself.  <\/p>\n<p>Hey, there, sewing machine, what have you been doing over here in the corner of the room all by yourself?  Getting things piled up on you so that you couldn&#8217;t even see out?  Yeah, that&#8217;s totally my fault.  Sorry about that.  Yeah, I&#8217;ve missed you, too.<\/p>\n<p>I even let Jenna get into the act, and she was a great help in stuffing little skeleton arm pieces.  I got him done the next day (coincidentally, while watching &#8220;Project Runway&#8221;) and am happy with the result.
