Today has been one of my busier days. Allow me to elaborate.<\/p>\n
7:25 usher Megan out the door to catch the early bus for band.<\/p>\n
7:45 say goodbye to Cole as he leaves for middle school.<\/p>\n
use the time to get myself and 3 kids ready for school.<\/p>\n
9:00 take Jenna to school, meet Megan there to deliver her very special, very cool spotted dog valentine box with light up red LED-light eyes (I’m sure we’ll post a picture of that one eventually)<\/p>\n
9:20 arrive home and start to sweep kitchen floor<\/p>\n
9:35 John’s friend Hunter arrives<\/p>\n
10:00 take John and Hunter over to friend Noah’s house for playgroup<\/p>\n
10:05 meet VT partner and go visiting teaching<\/p>\n
11:00 finish the visits and drive on empty to Costco to get gas.<\/p>\n
11:15 go into Costco to see if by chance they have chopsticks (for a game at school today).<\/p>\n
11:20 Costco does not have chopsticks, but they do indeed have flowers. Lots and lots of them. So, I buy a dozen for valentine’s day and exit the building<\/p>\n
11:30 go to Hogi Yogi to get chopsticks, and since I can’t just take 8-10 pairs of chopsticks without buying anything, buy a chicken bowl for lunch.<\/p>\n
11:40 arrive home to use the bathroom and eat chicken bowl.<\/p>\n
12:00 John is being picked up from playgroup by Hunter’s mom.<\/p>\n
12:08 Pick Jenna up from school. It looks like they have had a fun valentine’s party and are ready to go.<\/p>\n
12:20 arrive home, fix Jenna a sandwich and encourage her to use the bathroom, while I gather the supplies for my game at the 2nd grade party.<\/p>\n
12:43 take Jenna over to Hunter and Brittan’s house, where she will join John and play for an hour while I go and do my motherly duty and help with the valentine’s party for Natalie’s class.<\/p>\n
12:56 arrive at school, try to find a parking spot and end up parking way out in the street. Hurry in to drop off treats in one classroom, and attend the party in Natalie’s class. We play the chopstick candy heart game, and it is a big success. 2nd grade boys do NOT do well with chopsticks, just so you know.<\/p>\n
1:55 the party ends a few minutes early, and I book it back out to the car, so I can go to my friend Lisa’s and pick up my kids AND hers, so she can run off and attend a 5th grade party.<\/p>\n
2:05 get all the kids into the car and head back home.<\/p>\n
*Whew!* Now the rest of my day is easy! I just have to clean the kitchen and family room, set the table pretty for Valentine’s day, get a heart shaped pizza (if I can find one) for dinner, and then go to rehearsal tonight.
