I’m eating a cookie right now.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 And it’s good.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 And I deserve it.<\/p>\n
Why?\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 Well, the kids came inside and said, “We have something to show you.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 Come outside.”\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 Hmmmm.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 That can’t be good, can it?\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 I go outside to find a dead bird in the backyard.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 It looked like a cat had gotten it.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 It was all bloody and mangled and there were a lot of feathers around it.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 Why didn’t the cat just eat it, I wonder.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 I’m glad that there are cats out there, as I want them to eat all the mice in and around our yard.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 It just makes me sad to see them attacking the birds.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 Oh well, I guess it’s the circle of life and all that.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 But then something had to be done with that bird.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 Someone had to get it out of the yard, and unfortunately, that someone was me.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 There were no males, and certainly no male adults around to do it for me.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 So, I got a garden trowel, scooped the poor dead bird into a weeding bucket, and disposed of it.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 Where?\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 Well, I tossed it over the fence like I do with lots of other yard waste.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 What?\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 It’s an empty lot!\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 Maybe a different hungry cat will come by and want a snack.<\/p>\n
When I came inside and washed my hands thoroughly,\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 I was greeted by a smell.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 An all too familiar smell wafting towards me from a certain 3 year old who just barely had used the potty (much to his displeasure).\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 I don’t know what we are going to do with this kid.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 Even though he knows how to pee on command, if I didn’t force him onto the potty, he would just do everything in his pull-up.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 ARRGh!\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 Anyway, I just changed him for about the millionth time.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 Ick.
