Be our Guest.  Put our service to the test."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sunday we will have house guests until about the end of the month.  Hooray and fun!  I thought it was going to be today (Saturday), but I just found out they aren&#8217;t coming until tomorrow.  Which is fine, because the house isn&#8217;t quite clean yet, even though we&#8217;ve been working for what seems like forever to get things cleaned up and ready for guests.  We&#8217;ve transformed Megan&#8217;s room to a nice Megan\/guest room.  On Wednesday we painted.  On Thursday we put things back together<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"471\" height=\"627\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ericksonfamily.com\/albums\/07-Jul-2007\/IMG_5565.sized.jpg\" \/>,<\/p>\n<p>and today we (meaning Ryan) did all the handyman stuff,<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"373\" height=\"426\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ericksonfamily.com\/albums\/07-Jul-2007\/IMG_5566.sized.jpg\" \/> <img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"351\" height=\"424\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ericksonfamily.com\/albums\/07-Jul-2007\/IMG_5561.sized.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>like hanging the curtain rods, the art on the walls, and a little hook thing for hats.  We even put a mirror in there, and I made a little seed catching skirt for the parakeets.<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/www.ericksonfamily.com\/albums\/07-Jul-2007\/IMG_5560.thumb.jpg\" \/> <img src=\"http:\/\/www.ericksonfamily.com\/albums\/07-Jul-2007\/IMG_5569.thumb.jpg\" \/><br \/>\n<img src=\"http:\/\/www.ericksonfamily.com\/albums\/07-Jul-2007\/IMG_5570.thumb.jpg\" \/> <img src=\"http:\/\/www.ericksonfamily.com\/albums\/07-Jul-2007\/IMG_5573.thumb.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It looks much better in person, of course, but I&#8217;m very happy with how it turned out.  Not to be leaving the other kids out, we hung the stuffed animal &#8220;towers&#8221; up in everyone&#8217;s rooms, hung a mirror and shelf in the girls&#8217; room, and put up some new curtains.  Yes, we&#8217;ve been busy, but not busy enough, according to the kids.  They just want to know &#8220;when are you going to paint MY room?!&#8221; but that will have to wait until after the guests all leave.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m sure it will be a fun week with my sister in law and kids here.  And after that, Robin and kids are coming!<\/p>\n<p>So, now all we need are the guests!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sunday we will have house guests until about the end of the month.
