Works for me–Reuse those swiffer dusters

This is my first time to participate in Works for me Wednesday, but I’m game for new things.

My tip is to reuse those swiffer dusters. I just love those dusters, especially on ceiling fans and hard to reach places. But they can be expensive, right? Once they are all dusty and gross, just toss them in the washer. Don’t put them in the dryer,as they will get all shriveled and shrinky and won’t be so useful. If you use them when they are just a bit damp, they pick up all that dust the next time you are dusting. And you don’t have to pay all that money for more dusters.

I am with you on reusing those things. They do get costly! My mom even reuses dryer sheets – just leaves the used one in the dryer and then adds a new one to it. There is always a little bit of scent left in it.

Oh, you just saved me a TON of money. I never thought about reusing them and I reuse everything. My latest trick with dusting is using the “missing” socks that have no matches. I put them over my hands and away I go!

What a great idea! Now…if I could only find the handle that seems to have disappeared from my house into a black hole.

check out wallypop.net – this stay at home mom makes microfiber swiffter covers that are completely reusable, all you do is wash, dry and reuse until – well – forever! I have 2 – they are fantastic and no more waste and expense!
