The Trials of a Busy Mom

Darn. I didn’t win.

I just called in for a radio contest, but I was caller 2, instead of caller 9.  Why I was even calling on this contest, I’m not really sure, since it was to win Doodlebops concert tickets for Monday night.  Why would I even try to win those, I ask myself.  I HATE the Doodlebops.  And really, to go and sit through even an hour of them in concert would probably scar my brain for life!  Just thinking about it has placed a song in my head that, short of having a frontal labotomy, I will probably NEVER get out of my head.  (do-do-do, let’s get on the bus….ARG!)  Yet, I just tried to win some tickets, because I know my kids would enjoy it.  And if I won them, I know there’s no way in hell I could pawn the parental responsibility of taking said children to the concert on Ryan.  He would Not do it (am I right, Ryan?).  So, tell me, friends, WHY did I just call trying to win those?  It’s a sickness.  I think I should go and lie down.

The best thing is that Paige just won some tickets to the Doodlebops at the remote she went to this morning to try and win $500.

Anyone want to go to the Doodlebops?

Yes, I did acquire 4 tickets to the Doodlebops concert, thinking “this would be fun for Jenna and John”, but then realized Jenna is still difficult to transport, and that’s not something I want to try. But Stacie is going to take her girls up and go. I don’t think she knows who the Doodlebops are, and so I appologized in advance. I hope they all have fun.
