Two days ago I go the wild stupid idea in my head to clean my office. My office/sewing room/kids’ computer/craft room/ cesspool of a room where we put everything we don’t know what to do with. I’ve gotten rid of my old office chair, some crummy shelves, and bags and bags of stuff. But I’m still here, and I’m still not done. Where are the clean sweep people when I need them? I’m tired of doing this room, I’m discouraged, and I’ve made the rest of the house a mess by taking things out of my office and leaving them somewhere else. Help! Let me out!
I am with you on that. My office is a sty most of the time…the catch all place. The good thing is once it is clean, unlike most every other part of the house, it will stay clean for more than 2 hours. I like to keep walking in just to see one organized area… Good Luck!
Have you ever heard of FlyLady?
Baby Steps are the way to go!
something that works for me is to set yourself a goal with it
maybe work in theior an hour a day
i set my alarm clock
eventually youll get there
oh paige, i feel your pain! that is the story of my little scrapbooking room. it is a pit! in fact, i often just close the door so that it won’t be seen. i, too, have been working a lot on mine. i always tell my husband that i would love to be on clean sweep. oh how glorious would that be!
good luck! it’s nice to know that someone else is in the same boat!
It’s the same here.
I know I can’t do it all at once. So I try to set little goals, including that at least one thing will be thrown away.
A clean house? The promis of the future!!
The way it works at our house – if the rest of the house is clean, that means the office is a wreck, and vice versa – because it’s our catchall room too. If we lived in the Los Angeles area, we’d call Clean House!
