I may have mentioned that my husband has been on a shaving strike since roughly….October. We went on vacation to Disneyland and he decided not to shave anymore. It’s been growing longer and more scruffy until he finally looked like this.
On Sunday I think the scratchiness was finally getting to him. Either that or my endless complaining and refusing to kiss him might have had something to do with it. So, he shaved. But thankfully, he documented the whole process. First he was Mr. Scruffy there, then he went to this. . Next we had sad Mr. Stash. Then he did a regular moustache and we thought he looked like his brother, Kyle.
Do you see the resemblance?
And he finally ended up looking like the Ryan we remember from way back when. I’m happy to have him back.
That’s too funny because Cory stopped shaving on OUR vacation too! Except he’s been taking more grief because he’s in the Bishopric, so he says he’s going to shave after our ward party on Saturday. And I’m sooo glad Ryan didn’t keep the mustache – he looks like Mario from the game cube games!! Welcome back “real” Ryan.
Yay for the “real” Ryan! Glad to see you’ve returned. Lovely documentation of the shaving changes!
Don’t you hate when they quit shaving??? I think my husband shaves roughly twice a month and it drives me nuts!
I have to say, that is one impressed beard. My husband tried to do it once and he had a few places on his face that the hair wouldn’t grow.
Yeah, kind of sad to see it go. I had it just a week shy of 2 months.
Most of the comments on the beard were positive (other than Paige’s), but I think that’s because most people are polite, and won’t tell you if they think you look like a doofus…
Correction: Impressive beard but I you look better without it.
I like him much better without it. Kissing beard man tickles my nose.
My husband shaved his goatee and ‘stache once, in college.
I’ve never let him do it since. I love him, but his baby face needs a bit of hair!
